Announcements for March 7, 2010

Current Holy Spirit Webmaster Retires

This is my last weekly update on our current website. Four years ago I created a new design for the Holy Spirit website, and have updated the weekly church information on an ongoing basis as webmaster. I hope that my ministry in this field has kept you well informed, and has been a help to you over the past four years. Starting next week, Sean McShane will be taking over the duties of webmaster for the church. I’d like to thank Holy Spirit for giving me the opportunity of working on the website and hope it continues to be a blessing for everyone in the years ahead.

Tom Pilsworth
(Holy Spirit webmaster from 2006-2010)

Stewardship Campaign: Week Three

“Honour the Lord with your wealth, with first fruits of all your produce, then will your barns be filled with grain, with new wine your vats will overflow.”  (Proverbs 3:9-10)

Hospitality Ministry

The most important part of how we minister in the name of Jesus Christ is our HOSPITALITY MINISTRY. This begins at the door with our greeters, extends to our sidespeople, through those who assist us as Eucharist as Chalice Bearers, and ends with Coffee Hour. There is a chart in the Narthex for those who wish to sign up as Coffee Hosts. If you wish to assist us as a greeter, chalice bearer or sidesperson, please speak with one of the Wardens (Rick Wilson or Alf Jenkins) or with Rev. Judith. More hands make light work!

Special Announcement

We are delighted to announce that Alf Jenkins has offered himself to the parish as People’s Warden.  In accordance with the Canons, Rev. Judith has duly appointed him as such, having been acclaimed by the parish. In this regard, it will not be necessary for us to hold a further Vestry meeting.

Our Celebration Concert CD is now for Sale

We have a CD for sale from our November 21, 2009 concert. It is 78 minutes in length and the cost is $20 of which $15 will be donated to the Church. Please see Eric Hanbury if you would like a copy of the CD.
